Shelby Matthews

Shelby is an Associate Lawyer with Milburn & Associates. She provides strategic legal advice and representation to clients navigating employment issues, including wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal and breach of human rights in the workplace.
Since being called to the bar, Shelby has exclusively practiced employment law. Shelby brings extensive experience in representing clients in a variety of employment matters, including allegations of just cause, concurrent disability claims, pension valuation disputes, as well as claims of discrimination, harassment, and reprisal claims. She has litigated in the Ontario courts, including the Divisional Court where she achieved a favourable judgment that has been cited multiple times.
Shelby attended the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, where she was a Senior Editor of the Critical Analysis of Law Journal and regularly volunteered in legal clinics through Pro Bono Students Canada.
Shelby understands the importance of the employment matters facing her clients and approaches each case with diligence and concern. She strives to obtain timely and cost-effective solutions.
